Painters in Detroit, Michigan

Detroit's brick four-squares, bungalows, and turn-of-the-century frame homes need preparation-led exteriors, and the city's commercial corridors need work scheduled around trading hours.

Painting Detroit houses, specifically

A pre-war Detroit house has real plaster, wide painted trim, deep window casings, and exterior wood that has been coated for a hundred years. The estimate on a house like that is mostly labour: scraping back to sound, feathering, spot-priming bare wood, cutting out failed glazing putty and caulk, and only then coating. That is the difference between an exterior that holds for a decade and one that fails again in three, and it is why we quote prep as a line rather than folding it into a rate.

Housing this age routinely pre-dates the 1978 lead-paint rule. Where it applies we work to lead-safe practice for the surface concerned rather than dry-scraping into the garden.

On the commercial side we work storefronts, offices, and common areas in Midtown, Corktown, and along the neighbourhood corridors, staged so the space keeps operating: evenings and weekends where daytime disruption is not acceptable.

What customers say

Bello Painting did a fantastic job on our home’s exterior. Marcus and his crew were friendly, showed up when they said they would, and worked hard to get everything done on time. They paid attention to the details, and the house looks fresh and brand new.
